All Prideline is a 24 hours hotline supporting LGBT+ community, providing emotion support, professional referral, group activities and follow up service handled by professional social worker.

1. Hotline Service

Prideline is a 24 hours hotline service, targeting sexual/gender diversity and their families, providing them immediate support, counselling and follow up services, for handling their life distress and challenges related to sexual orientation or gender identity.


Prideline service features:

  • 24 hours support
  • All call are handled by registered social workers
  • Provide crisis management and support, e.g. intimate relationship violence, sexual violence, family crisis, etc.
  • Diverse counselling service, including struggling in self identity, emotional support, relationship difficulties, sexual health, family stress, transgender issue, etc.
  • Refer to different services based on need of service user


2. Follow up service

After assessment in hotline, if there has a need for long-term follow up, Prideline will provide follow up on phone or case counselling service, to cater different users' needs.

Follow up scope:

For LGBT+
-Struggling in ones' sexual orientation or sexual identity
-Being stressful due to sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression
-Coming out issue
-Interpersonal relationship
-Family relationship
-Couple relationship

For LGBT+ family and friends
-Feeling unacceptable on LGBT+ family members or friends
-Suspect family members or friends are LGBT+, but struggle on how to handle

Referring service:

Apart from Prideline service, if still have other service needs, will refer service target to other suitable service under their consent.

3. Hotline figures and statistics

From 2018/01/27 to 2020/09/30, PrideLine received total 16483 calls.

In the last quarter, from 2021/07/01 to 2021/09/30, PrideLine received total 1009 calls.

The main contents of the hotline calls are:
Enquiry of sexual orientation and related question
Enquiry of gender identity and related question
Enquiry of family and friends' sexual orientation or gender identity and related question
Enquiry of social service and others
